Solving Garden Problems

Key gardener's references

Serious gardeners should have at least a set of basic field guides for the animals and plants you'll find in your garden. It is important that you be able to distinguish between unwanted pests and the harmless critters that are only passing through. Even more important is being able to recognize beneficials and natural enemies.

But, once you get a set of field guides the next most important reference is a good pest and disease problem solving book. Take a look at this guidebook (right) -- you don't necessarily need the newest edition but these books offer a wealth of color pictures so you can identify what may be impacting your garden's health and production.
